The Mexican Pride

There are wrecks — and then there's the Mexican Pride. A 200-foot cargo ship intentionally sunk in open Gulf water, resting at 130 feet, 20 miles offshore of Sarasota. Most hunters never reach structure like this. The size of the vessel alone creates habitat that draws fish in numbers you won't find on nearshore reef.

The depth and distance put it beyond casual reach — and that's exactly the point. Advanced certification and Nitrox are required. What you'll find down there is worth every preparation they represent: trophy Hogfish, Amberjack, Snapper and Grouper holding tight to a wreck that stretches longer than a football field.

"Deep structure, open blue water, serious fish. The Mexican Pride is the dive that Gulf Coast hunters talk about."

The Spearfishing Trek is offered seasonally (May through September) as part of our standard charter lineup at $300/diver. Call to confirm availability.
